Welcome Joseph!!

We are thrilled to announce that Joseph Johnson will be joining the New Orford String Quartet as our new cellist! Joseph Johnson has been heard throughout the world as a soloist, chamber musician and educator. He currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Cello at the Eastman School of Music, Principal Cello of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and Principal Cello of the Santa Fe Opera. Joseph has been guesting with the quartet for the 2025-2026 season and will join us in May for concerts in Calgary and Vancouver. Welcome to the NOSQ family, Joe!
